Madame Lapine's Class Of 20xx

The Official Rankings

Head of Her Class, Moe Idol Pretty Akemi

Though often mistaken for a middle schooler, Akemi is actually in her third year of high school. Her powers of moe trope manipulation give her access to exceptionally good ratings as she is capable of appealing to almost every subdemographic several times per epsiode without alienating any competing subdemographic. Akemi-Chan is the avatar of commercialised moe!

Witch-Girl Yuu-Chan

Yuu-Chan's show leads into Pretty Akemi's. The two don't really get along, as Yuu-Chan is intimidated by the sheer power of Akemi's moe, which used to be her big selling point, but Yuu-chan's manager is very politically savvy and insists on the two seeming to be best friends. Yuu-Chan is goodhearted, but timid and reluctant as a witch, she would rather be a dancer or play piano, but being the heiress to a thousand-year legacy of witchcraft is a situation that's hard to shake.

Machine Phantom Kameko

Kameko-chan was but a quiet hikkikomori girl who died of electrocution in a tragic networking mishap involving a beowulf cluster and 11 cats. Her mind fled her dying body into the strange world of the 2ch BBS, and she dwelt there for a time before being reborn as Machine Phantom Kameko, a literal ghost in the machine, supercharged with electricity and able to control any machine attached to a computer. She is able to recreate her body at any networked terminal, but if she invokes any of her machine phantom powers her body begins an unstoppable cascade to destruction in 800 seconds, after which she must flee back into the internet to recuperate.

Armored Justice Singer Ghost Aiko

Originally hopelessly tone-deaf, Sasahara Aiko nonetheless loved rock n' roll. When she found the Enchanted iPod, though, she was gifted with power and talent by the Ghosts of Rock Past, and sang into being her Destiny Armor and her guitar, Power Chord. Her mission: to restore the gospel of rock, and keep Monolith Records from grinding the soul out of music with wave after wave of cursed, overproduced, meaningless fluff pop music.

Miracle Priestess Xi

Seraphic Girl Cutey

Seraphic Girl Cutey's real name is Higurashi Kimiko, but she has the most ironclad secret identity of any magical girl in currency - Higurashi Kimiko has been in a coma for almost 10 years, leaving her disembodied psyche - an illusion created from her dreams - trapped in the body of an eight year old girl, given the power to defend love and justice for all time.

Irresponsible Sorceress Nio

Katani Nio never really expected to find the Necronomicon at a community swap meet after school, but it was certainly worthy enough of interest for her to trade in her spare Millennium Princess Mayumi CCG cards for it. History records the events of 7:41PM that evening as The Sundering, and parts of the neighborhood are still being dug out of the debris.

With the knowledge of ten thousand lifetimes but none of the maturity, Nio decided to carry on in the footsteps of her idol, Mayumi, and become a lovely defender of justice! Unfortunately for those sharing her general proximity, Nio's concept of justice is pretty strange at the best of times, and to say that her powers are unpredictable is a colossal understatement.

Hyper Rage Rider Honey Tenchi

In her mundane guise, Tenchi is the sukeban of the Hyper Rage Rider Honey Brigade*, one of the largest yankee gangs in Tokyo and a constant nuisance. Her shining Vespa seems underpowered for such a delinquent princess, but when Tenchi is angered it transforms into a supercharged Harley-Davidson motorcycle that spews flames from its off-market rocket engines, so loud that it shatters windows as it passes. Tenchi herself becomes Hyper Rage Rider Honey Tenchi, an ultra-violent golden-haired super-delinquent whose brushes with the law are second only to her thirst for unconventional justice!

  • Her secret identity isn't exactly ironclad, but the network pays off the Tokyo police well enough that they miss the rather obvious connections between Hyper Rage Rider Honey Tenchi and her eponymous Brigade.

Amazing Marine Rider Misato

Formerly the least popular magical girl in Japan, owing to her attacks on the whaling industry and her love of killer whales, she has recently enjoyed a surge in popularity thanks to the fact that she's not Destruction Maiden Kiyoko. She is a brash, vocal young woman whose primary drawing power has always been her custome, which takes the form of a magical school uniform bikini.

The Forgotten Magical Girls

Pretty Vampire Princess Unyuu

Once a highly ranked magical girl with a large fandom and great ratings, Pretty Vampire Princess Unyuu was lost in the battle with the Evil Queen of the Shadow Crystal Galaxy Who Is As Beautiful As She Is Evil, trapped on the other side of a Shadow Crystal Vortex when it sealed for the last time.

Millennium Princess Mayumi

The first publically known Magical Girl, Mayumi traveled to the year 20xx from the future to prevent the Y2K virus from spawning a horde of evil monsters by promoting good programming practice. She has since returned to her own time, but her legacy has inspired three generations of Magical Girls.

Secret Corrector Killer Kaii

Magical Girls don't talk about Kaii, who was always a little strange. She got even more strange when she freaked out at the Scramble and left a trail of bodies in her wake before vanishing. Now, both the JSDF and the police are looking for her, trying to stop her before she kills again.
