Nakakama (a portmanteau of Kaka, or "bother" and Nakama, or "friend") is a microblogging service akin to Twitter, Tumblr, or Me2DAY. It seems to allow for longer entries, but does not have a method for Trending Topics, and only allows for rudimentary connections to other blogs. It displays the most recent updates, and has directory for listing it's famous users. Accounts can be verified as being the user through various methods.
All Nakakama account handles appear to be 2+ words smashed together, suggesting it might work on a PHP framework originally, rather than the Ruby on Rails setup most microblogs use.
