Background
Among the Tengu race of Youkai, politics is dominated by the powerful Sojobo Clan that rules from an area conveniently causally adjacent to Mount Kurama. The clan is named after its founder, the legendary Tengu warrior that tutored Minamoto no Yoshitsune in martial arts. Of course, times have changed, and the Tengu have moved on to more peaceful forms of conquest such running the Zaibatsus of Japan's spirit world, and the fabulously wealthy Sojobo are no exception in embracing modernity, particularly the medical breakthrough of rhinoplasty.
Prince Kiken is the heir to the Sojobo clan. Unfortunately, he does not seem to care very much for his royal responsibility, or really any type of responsibility for that matter. A Grade A slacker, and an incorrigible prankster even by the standards of his race, his family is determined to make him into a productive ruler of society. To this end, he has been sent to the human world to learn some self-reliance, humility, and the Power of Friendship. Kiken is currently attending a human high school to further his education, but he's mostly interested in eating and flirting with cute girls.
Personality
Kiken would like to describe himself as a dashing gentleman with roguish charm. More impartial observers would describe him as happy-go-lucky dork. Kiken is lazy, irresponsible, and mischievous, with the proportional appetite of a bird, and a love of practical jokes. Nonetheless, he doesn't mean any harm, he's extremely outgoing, and there's something lovable about him, in spite, or perhaps because of, his immaturity.
Kiken has gained not a small amount of popularity at school, largely for being a tall, dark, pretty boy transfer student with no small amount of athletic prowess. Several of the sports teams have tried to get him to join, but he's refused every offer. Mostly because he's lazy.
